AGI performed Ground Improvement work at the Pasadera Junior High School project in Guadalupe, CA. The intent of the ground improvement is to support the structures’ foundation loads, and to mitigate the potential for liquefaction during an earthquake and reduce settlements within acceptable limits. ~30,000 ft of stone columns was installed. The stone columns were used to reinforce the soft fine soils and densify the loose granular soils. AGI tracked the installation depth and amperage achieved at each location that allowed the GEOR Earth Systems to determine the primary settlement and liquefaction settlement of the loose granular soils and soft fine soils throughout the entire jobsite.
