The project site was deemed a hotspot for liquefaction and ridden with soft organic soil with high levels of compressibility, making it particularly difficult to build on. Vibro Stone Columns were proposed by AGI, and deemed the most appropriate ground improvement method for the project in lieu of other more expensive ground improvement solutions. The technology selected successfully targeted the densifiable soils while mitigating settlement issues.
