Advanced Geosolutions, Inc (AGI) – the Premier Design-Build Geotechnical Contractor™  is a fast paced, growing firm specializing in innovative ground improvement and specialty piling construction. We offer our services nationwide with support from our regional offices, and through close collaboration with contractors and owners, we provide cost effective and timely solutions contributing to the overall success of the project.

AGI is immediately seeking an experienced Shop Manager at our Northern and Southern California shops to manage shop personnel and mechanics and support the Operations Team.

Shop Manager Responsibilities:

• Supervise team of mechanics, technicians, shop support staff.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all construction equipment and tools, ensuring equipment is ready for production work.
• Ensure all equipment and vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Keep documentation up-to-date for inspections and audits.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implement a safety-conscious working environment, including daily safety briefings.
• Coordinate with operations team, superintendents, project managers, field engineers with equipment, tooling, and transportation logistics as needed.
• Track equipment hours and oversee field hours reporting on a weekly basis.
• Review and manage shop budget.

Shop Manager Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in ground improvement, geotechnical, or construction industry.
• Superior oral and written communication skills to effectively liaise with shop personnel, operations team, superintendents, field engineers, and project managers.
• Strong understanding of equipment used in the ground improvement industry.
• Strong understanding of service manuals and creating detailed service plans.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills, be well organized, responsible, reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
